  • Bergen/Passaic Counties Chapter The NJTESOL Bergen/Passaic Chapter welcomes ESL teachers, classroom teachers, World Languages teachers and administrators to our meetings and workshops. The meetings are free for NJTESOL members.
    All meetings except the half-day workshop in March are held at the Paramus Public Library, 116 E. Century Road, opposite Paramus High School, 3.30 pm - 5.00pm.

    A Workshop with Dr. Allan De Fina “Content Area Literacy Strategies for ELLs: How to Help ELLs be Content with Content Area Reading.”
    A repertoire of easy-to-apply hands-on literacy strategies to promote reading, writing, and language development in the content areas.

  • Ocean County Chapter - The Ocean County Chapter will be hosting 2 more workshops this school year. The information is listed below. All workshops will be held at Lacey Twp. High School, Haines St., Lanoka Harbor (just of exit 74 of the Garden State Parkway). All are invited. Please bring a friend! Light refreshments will be served.

    • We will be hosting an additional workshop on Wednesday, April 21, 2010, 4-6 pm, at Forked River School, Lacey Rd., Forked River, 08731 (Exit 74 on the Garden State Parkway- near the traffic light at intersection of Lacey Rd. and Route 9)
      Hampton-Brown representative, Lee van Lammeren, will be presenting the products of the Hampton-Brown Phonics program for the elementary grades.
