Due
to the overwhelming response and interest in the all day seminar,
Mr. Fred Carrigg has graciously offered to repeat his presentation for our Summer
Seminar.
The latest research on bilingual literacy will be shared.
Participants will learn which skills transfer easily and which skills need
additional attention. Strategies on how and when to transfer literacy skills
from the native language to English will also be discussed. The instructional
literacy model used in Abbott and Reading First districts will be presented.
